Each panel is 24" wide and 114" (9.5 ft) tall, so one panel covers one 2 ft column from floor to ceiling in most rooms.
Step 1: Measure your wall
- Measure the width of the area you want to cover, in inches. If it's a feature section (behind a TV or bed), measure just that section.
- Measure the height from floor to ceiling in two or three places. If it's 114" or less, one panel per column covers it.
Step 2: Do the math
Panels = wall width (inches) ÷ 24, rounded up
Example: a 13 ft wall is 156". 156 ÷ 24 = 6.5, so you need 7 panels. The last one gets cut to width.
Quick chart
| Wall width | Panels needed | Panels at $69 each |
|---|---|---|
| 4 ft | 2 | $138 |
| 6 ft | 3 | $207 |
| 8 ft | 4 | $276 |
| 10 ft | 5 | $345 |
| 12 ft | 6 | $414 |
| 14 ft | 7 | $483 |
| 16 ft | 8 | $552 |
| 20 ft | 10 | $690 |
Prices are for the standard profile at $69 per panel. The upgraded 1 thick + 2 thin profile is about $78 per panel. Trim, lighting, adhesive and installation are extra.
Should I order extra?
Usually not much. Because each panel runs the full height in one piece, there's very little waste: the only cut-down piece is normally the last panel in the run. If your wall has a lot of openings (windows, doors), or you're new to cutting panels, one spare is a reasonable cushion.
What if my ceiling is taller than 9.5 ft?
For walls above 114", you'll need a second, shorter piece on top of each column, which adds a horizontal seam. Many people instead stop the panels at a consistent height and finish the top with trim. Send us your measurements and we'll suggest the cleanest layout.
What else should I count?
- Trim: for any exposed end that doesn't stop at a corner
- Lighting: COB LED strip is sold by the foot, from $2.33/ft. Measure the run you want lit. See slat walls with LED lighting.
- Openings: count outlets and switches so you can plan cuts
